Sign Language at Hoon Hay!
We are really fortunate to have a new student to Hoon Hay who is encouraging us to learn sign language. Team Harakeke is meeting together each week and learning together. Here is the New Zealand Sign language alphabet to help you learn at home.

Here's Oscar practising saying his name at home as part of home learning. Way to go Oscar!

    I have loved seeing you all spell out your names in sign language. Isn't it cool to be able to talk with your hands?

    How cool is this Jellyfish Cove! It is great to see you practising your sign language to help you communicate in a different way. I can't wait to see you in the playground and get you to show me in person.
    How you communicate that one word has finished and another word is starting? E.g. Miss Scott.
